Someone had a sense of humour pairing the regular Monday crossword with the Midi for the day. It is the first time I experienced one puzzle informing another. I had a good smile when I went from the Midi to the larger puzzle and noticed the parallel themes - it certainly made the second puzzle go faster!
@DP. I was a bit unclear about ACE initially, but I think ACE was the answer because it can represent the highest card or lowest (a "one") depending on the card game.
