To the editors: This triumvirate of answers was too simple in my estimation to make it a Thursday puzzle. To the constructor: Thank you. Always thank you. I enjoyed it. I always enjoy the puzzle whether I’m successful or not. Thank you constructors- keep them coming!

First few complaint comments i read were as i expected. My take(possibly unpopular)? A relatively easy Thursday. I beat my average by a large margin. Thanks to the constructor.

Started this last night and had an awfully empty grid when I went to bed. Awoke this morning brighter and more mentally agile and managed the solve without hints or lookups! Thanks for the creative clueing and just the right difficulty for me!

This one hit just right for me. A couple of AHA moments, smiles as I puzzled the long crosses, and a time at 90% of my average. Thanks, I’d sign here but I prefer anonymity.

On theme for the day but definitely an easy(ier) Thursday puzzle! To those celebrating today, Happy fourth of July!

Felt on the easy side for a Thursday. I enjoyed it. Favourite clue surrounded “stickier” Sincerely, Magician who has lost magic. (Ian)
