Not bad, but a bit too difficult for a Monday in my opinion.Too many clues with names of obscure individuals!

I'm not too good at Wednesday puzzles, but I finally got this one. I'm amazed I finally figured out a rebus puzzle! The semicircle clue was brilliant. I like the box for crackers too. Keep up the great work Thank you. David Gropper, Danbury CT

Nice puzzle, and I am so happy to see you back Sam !

Much too difficult for a Tuesday! Not fun!

I have to disagree with the majority of the comments. This was much more difficult than a typical Monday!

At first I thought that this puzzle was a bit queer and I truly meant no disrespect! Now after finishing it I realize it really was! Congratulations Kenneth on an eye opening, historic/historical puzzle! And Thank you Sam for your great commentary!

Nice start Robert! Keep it up and good luck with law school

I like the theme, but to me this was bit challenging for a Monday

Well done you two! I hope Ken's mom made an exception and did the puzzle. Keep up the good work.

Dude, please get back to Xword creating. This was excellent! I loved the Silent T and Ironing clues and as someone who often can't complete Wednesday's this was doable and great fun! Thank you for starting off my vacation with 4 stars!

I am tempted to complain to Jamey, but it is not her/his choice to assign a day. This is NOT a Monday puzzle! Once I figured the theme, I did okay but up to that point I thought there was something wrong with me! Alas, thanks for a fun, well constructed puzzle!

I am happy to announce that I FINALLY figured out a rebus on my own.! Also excited to see Basenji as an answer. Years ago when I had Rhodesian Ridgebacks Basnjis were one the few dogs they peacefully coexist with. Besides they have the cutest curly tails!

I love Baba Ganoush Baba Ghanoush Baba Ghanouj Baba Gannuj Baba Ghanoug Baba Ghannouj Baba Ganouj but I can't figure out how to spell it! Thank you for a FUN puzzle!

Well done! Thanks for a fun puzzle!

Very enjoyable even if it took me "too" long to finish. As far as I'm concerned any Xword puzzle with NENE is my favorite. I nearly lost it when I first went to HI and saw one! Bravo!

Anyone else think this was a bit challenging for a Monday? Nevertheless quite enjoyable, and educational, thank you Rebecca!

A bit too obscure for me

An excellent first puzzle Wade. I don't know much Chinese history and prefer classical or earlier then the 80's music but I learned some and had fun struggling to solve this! Keep up the good work.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but, this was easy, but FUN! Thanks Ms. Yoshida

Fun and well done! This puzzle is an excellent source of commonly used answers and should be required "solving" for new puzzle solvers.

Fun, fairly easy, and entertaining, thank you Zhouqin!

Bravo, bravo! What an interesting, fun puzzle! Keep up the great work!

Wow, what a great puzzle. Not so easy for me, but I eventually got it and when I figured out the main clue I kept saying (out loud much to the annoyance of my wife) what an excellent puzzle.! Keep it up you two and thank you!

This is not a typical Monday puzzle much too difficult!

Bravo! What a fun entertaining puzzle! I love the way you guys think! Keep up the great work!

Great fun! Thank you!

Fun fairly easy but entertaining. Thank you Adam!

OMG what a great puzzle! I didn't get the point until the end but it was fun. As for Sam's comments I agree with the first 2 "kvetches", but I have to admit as a pediatrician a newborn is called a neonate!

Thank you both for a fairly straightforward, fun puzzle! Keep up the masterwork work!

Well done Ms. Nowak, well done!

This is NOT a Monday level puzzle. I usually get Mondays with no problem this was too difficult and I still don't get the theme. I didn't enjoy it at all!

Ah so well done! Just challenging enough to make it fun! Thank you Sala and Emily! Please keep it up!

Enjoyable! Well done Hannah! Carrel is new to me too! As always say any puzzle with NENE is a puzzle for me! Thank you!

Nice puzzle!

Wow I solved a Wednesday! I loved this puzzle! Quirky theme and creative clues. Thank you Juliana!

Fun puzzle! Thank you Shaun I enjoyed this puzzle and learned a few things. I'd never heard of Nudie Cohen but I'm looking forward to returning to Nashville and will certainly visit "his" Honky Tonk

Bit hard for a Monday!

Well done and fun! To me a bit hard for a Monday. How come I've never heard of a sloe?

Bravo, well done Daniel. A nice mix of old and new clues, and I loved the IMDB. I wonder how many people know that it also stands for Internet Move Database- A great resource for movies, tv shows, and in addition, full of bio's on just about any actor or actress you want to look up! (IMDb.com)

I still prefer coffee but this puzzle was fantastic fun!

FUN FUN FUN GREAT JOB

Nice job Victoria. As a high school, college sprinter, many years ago, triple jump was easy to parse out.

Very well done Ms Handa! Very well done, fairly straight forward yet interesting to do!

Nice start Mr Walker keep up the good work!

Very enjoyable puzzle! Thank you Lynn Lempel , I always love your puzzles, though admittedly I didn't get the theme until I read Sam's commentary! Oh well c'est la vie!

Dear Miranda and Tracy, I have to admit I'm a better birder than crossword solver and as a result this puzzle did ruffle my feathers a bit! Nevertheless it was thoroughly enjoyable! Thank you both!

ASMR got me! Never heard of it. So it was atheism not atheist! Ouch!

Well done gentleman, I've always been fascinated by palindromes and this was very creative. My favorite by the way is the Southern Indian language Malayalam!

Nice straightforward puzzle, than k you for constructing it!
