It is absolutely *fascinating* to me how a black square containing an extra letter seems to bother fewer people than a white square containing an extra letter. End of observation, carry on!

@Erica C This curiosity is *exclusively* the reason I open the comments section at all! This puzzle especially related to multiple facets of my life, so I legitimately was unsure if the difficulty was low or it was just a unique cross-section of clues. A little of both, it would seem!
