Definitely a bit more challenging than most Tuesdays but well worth it for the pleasure of solving! This one was a real treat

I appreciate that the wordplay column started out confirming it was a rebus without spoiling the theme. That was what I needed to hit the ground running and have a delightful time with the rest of my solving! I would say this is a very fair Wednesday-level puzzle, just with the added zing of a rebus. Great fun!
