Rebus on a Wednesday? Yes please! I loved this puzzle and happily rebussed (pretty sure that’s not a real word) my way through it. I completed the entire grid except for one square and finally had to peek at the answer sheet. The intersection of 22D and 27A had me. When I got the answer I STILL didn’t get it. Sawred? What is sawred? Is it akin to sautéed? Then it hit me and I Saw Red at myself. Great fun!

I’m fairly new to solving, so I followed all the advice in the article about how to solve the crosswords. I’ve been tackling the archives and I get through at least 5 a day. Turns out, Thursday puzzles are my favorite and I think this one is superb! It was great fun solving it and not just because I love AC/DC!

I really liked this puzzle. I thought the clueing was fun and made me think, but not so hard that I had to step away multiple times. I loved the theme and thought they did a great job. I’ve read through some of the comments and I see many are peeved about the M.I.A. clue. I was in the USAF and I knew they were going for AWOL immediately. I wasn’t offended or anything because I always assume (maybe wrongly) that most of the puzzles are created by lifelong civilians and they don’t really know much about the military. It didn’t take away from the fun of the puzzle for me.

I loved this puzzle!! I thought it was very fun and enjoyed the solve immensely. It was extra nice that I didn’t have to peek at the ‘tricky clues’ column and I finished it 14:09 minutes faster than my average. Thanks for a great Wednesday puzzle!

@Murhatroid I believe it’s like on the movie, “Honey I shrunk the kids”. He invented a shrink ray gun and accidentally aimed it at his children and shrunk them.
